Používanie voľnopredajných liekov progresívne rastie. Medzi najčastejšie patria lieky proti bolesti, pri ktorých najmä pri nesprávnom používaní rastie počet nežiaducich účinkov (NÚL). Práca pilotnou štúdiou u pacientov, ktorí dobrovoľne navštívili lekáreň počas akcie Týždeň srdca v lekárňach, analyzuje odpovede pacientov na otázky týkajúce sa percepcie rizika liekov, compliance so zameraním na nesteroidové antiflogistiká s analgetickým účinkom. Hodnotia sa zdroje informácií o riziku liekov a diskutujú sa možnosti zefektívnenia farmakoterapie.

THE QUESTION OF PERCEPTION OF DRUG RISK AND PATIENT COMPLIANCE

The use of over-the-counter drugs progressively rises up. Among the most frequently used drugs in therapy are the medicaments against pain. When these preparations are misused the number of undesirable effects (NÚL) grows up. This paper presents a pilot study of patients which voluntarily visited the pharmacy during the action “The week of heart in pharmacies”. It analyzes the responses of patients on questions concerning the perception of drug risk and compliance aiming at non-steroidal antiphlogistics with analgesic effect. The sources of information on drug risk are evaluated and the possibility how to make the pharmacotherapy more effective is discussed.
